Air Jordan 9 Retro coming this Saturday to a Deveroes near you

The Air Jordan IX (9) was released in 1993.  The same year that Michael retired for the first time, a time of turmoil for MJ.  He had recently lost his father and decided to pursue a career in baseball.  This was the first shoe released without Jordan in the NBA.  There was also a cleated model that he wore during his stint on the Birmingham Barons.

This retro represents the point in MJ's career when he truly became an international icon.  The feature that best represents this international superstar transition is the bottom of the shoes.  There are words in many languages that describe Mike's swag on the court.

Air Jordan Fusion 8 to hit Deveroes stores Saturday, May 22nd.

 

Jordan Brand will release this Air Jordan Fusion 8 black/varsity red-flint grey on May 22nd, 2010. This Jordan has a black suede base and features a white, red, gray, and black multi-colored design on the heel. It is also finished with a flint grey midsole and a black/red outsole.
