Michael found a partner and a friend in Allen Doan. The first Orisue collection was officially unleashed in the summer of 2006. The collection was small – only a dozen tees and two crew sweaters. However, the freshness of the garments generated some serious buzz in the streetwear world. The smart market plan also played an important role in making the label’s first collection a major hit. The summer collection was advertised beginning January on many of the world’s most prestigious street-fashion websites. The strong responses received from the public over the internet made possible the launch of the brand in several stores.
After its successful launch, Orisue clothing brand exploded. Now, the team behind the successful streetwear line is getting bigger and bigger. The same goes for the number of clothing types they produce. Currently they cater to young men premium t-shirts, cut and sewn crew sweaters, full zip hoodies and fitted hats. Orisue label is sold in a multitude of stores worldwide. The kids at Orisue succeeded in conquering USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Denmark, Japan, Australia, Korea, Norway and Taiwan.
The Fountain Valley, California based-brand creates for those who aim high and live their life with passion, surpassing all the obstacles. Orisue is for those high achievers that are not afraid to fight for their dreams on the streets. The brand’s style is best described by comparing it with the ancient art of Origami. The only difference is that the guys at Orisue use fabric to create their art instead of paper. After they add the design, color and stitching, the plain fabric becomes a unique elaborate garment that has the mission to represent the lifestyle and individualism of those who choose to wear it.
Orisue label passes no opportunity to promote its innovative and fresh collections. That’s why you can find the brand at prestigious trade shows like Magic and B&B. Allen Doan, when asked about the importance of trade shows, stated: “Tradeshows are so important in any industry. It’s a great opportunity to get drunk and promise things you’ll probably regret later on.”
But a large part of the brand’s success is definitely the support Orisue receives from hip hop artist. Some rappers that are known to endorse the Orisue line are Nas, Rick Ross, Drake, Bun B, Soulja Boy, Alchemist and Evidence of Dilated Peoples.
