Timberland Launches Anti-Fatigue Tecnology

For fall 2011, Timberland is giving its classic boot “new guts” with the introduction of anti-fatigue comfort technology. Despite this significant change on the inside, the clean-yet-rugged profile that has made this boot an icon for decades remains exactly the same. Combined with more flexible forefoot construction, the reinvented 6” Premium Waterproof Boot is the epitome of comfort, dependability and unique style.

Timberland’s exclusive anti-fatigue technology absorbs shock and returns energy to keep feet comfortable all day. Anti-fatigue is a system of molded, inverted cones in the footbed collapse that return energy in key pressure zones. The technology is patterned after the floor mats used to prevent fatigue in industrial workspaces where people spend most of their day standing or walking.
Boot specs:
  • Premium, waterproof full-grain and nubuck leathers
  • Anti-fatigue midsole and footbed for all-day comfort and support
  • Flexible forefoot construction for added comfort
  • Padded collar for comfortable fit around the ankle
  • Rubber lug outsole for traction and durability
  • Embossed Timberland tree logo on side

Nike Air Diamond Turf II “49ers” –

We really don’t have to say much, do we? The title and photo tells you everything you need to know for now. Back in May, the news broke that the Nike Air Diamond Turf II would return in 2012. Only one original colorway was confirmed in May, and most people wanted to know if Nike would retro the red 49ers colorway. Well, if you were one of those people, you no longer have to wonder because this OG colorway will hit stores Summer 2012. For the first time ever, Nike will retro the second Deion Sanders signature shoe line. And it just so happens that they’re bringing back the most sought after colorway.

Someone tell Wale his holy grail is hitting stores again next year. As for myself, I knew it was only a matter of time. I have had some good memories in my pair, especially at SF 2010. Rejoice!

Surely there’s a few names worth mentioning, but the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was known for rockin’ heat. With that said, Complex put together a complete guide to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s sneakers. You can check out the list by clicking here. After you’re done viewing the list, let us know what you think in the comment section.

50 Gadgets That Changed Just Blaze's Life

Just Blaze has an excellent memory. Moments after we took a seat in his new digs at Stadium Red Studios in Harlem, the producer behind a plethora of platinum tracks you can recite on command gets right to business and begins running off the gadgets he feels had a great impact, good or bad, on his life. Some date all the way back to when he was just a New Jersey young'in with a penchant for tinkering and reverse engineering. It's not the recollection of the list that surprises us—he had a bit of time to prepare, to be fair—it's the detailed fabric of memories he wraps around each entry. Memories like building the Pro Tools rig that led to him meeting Hov. Or deciding which keyboard to buy after seeing Rza in Rap Pages.

Technology has been ever-present in the lives of those who grew up in the era of the personal computer. It's affected the way we interact, learn, communicate, work, and play. Similar to the way you can hear a song and immediately remember the period of your life when it was blaring on the radio, if you're like us, you can take a look at an old gadget or piece of software, and recall how your life was when it was still stocked on store shelves, or being checked as regularly a Twitter an Facebook. Just Blaze is like us. Show him a phone, laptop, or piece of studio equipment he can tell you where he was, who had it, and what made the damn thing so dope. That's why we tapped him to run through the 50 Gadgets That Changed His Life.

Shocker: Americans’ Minutes Logged On Facebook Is In the Billions

According to a Nielsen estimate, all American Facebook users combined to spend 53 billion minutes on Facebook in May.

However, that number may sound a tad hyperbolic, considering that the amount of minutes logged is divided between 150 million American users. Broken down, the average time spent on Facebook for each user is about 10 minutes a day. Considering the staggering number of users, it’s unsurprising that Facebook ranks first of all US websites regarding where users spend the most time.

And I just want to emphasize very emphatically that all this time spent on the site really is worth it. My ex-girlfriend’s mother’s setup in Farmville is fucking beautiful. To see it is to see the Garden of Eden.

Kid Cudi Wins Four Nike MAG 2011 Auctions

Many of you stated that British rapper Tinie Tempah was one lucky guy for winning the first ever Nike MAG auction late last week. However, we have spotted another rapper that may be a little luckier in terms of going back to the future. G.O.O.D. Music artist Kid Cudi shockingly won four Nike MAG 2011 auctions himself. That’s right, four pair of Nike MAGs belong to the Wizard. He made this announcement to the world via Twitter yesterday: “Won 4 pairs of McFly’s off Ebay, xmas done came early willllyyyyyyy!!!”

The Nike MAG 2011′s winning bids are starting to come down just a bit, so head on over to nikemag.ebay.com if you are on the hunt for a pair or four.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 – Close Up

Complex was the first to hit you with photos of Kanye rocking a new colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 at the MTV VMAs. Today we get some more detailed photos (we apologize for the “Joe Calderone” sighting again – we all tried to forget about that) of the hypebeasts' wet dream from the same night. It is still a little difficult to lock down the exact details regarding materials but the shoe looks quite a bit chunkier than the original Yeezys and the tongue appears to be sporting an all new logo. Stay posted up with Complex for more news and detailed photos

Celebrity Sneaker Stalker

We now interrupt your Nike Air Mag coverage for a PSA, or rather a CSS. While no A-listers have snagged or been spotted in the Marty McFly Nikes (yet) we did catch the famous and flashy in the best from Nike, Jordan Brand, Vans, and adidas. Recent releases like the Black/Silver Air Jordan 5 and “Dark Pine” Foamposite Pro pop up, but most of our regulars were pulling some irregulars from the vault. DMPs, Space Jams, Breds, and much more stand out in this week’s Celebrity Sneaker Stalker. Give us your picks in the poll and comment section.

Spotted: Michael J. Fox Breaks Out The Nike Air Mags On Letterman

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Marty Mcfly Makes an Appearence on David Letterman tonight.

We barely made it out from our hotel rooms when this news came through the wire. In what might be the biggest publicity scheme this year, actor Michael J. Fox, who played the hero Marty McFly on the three Back To The Future franchise, will make a guest appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight. The timing is quite specific, at 11:30 pm EST, or 8:30 pm PST, where Nike will start the “It’s About Time” program in Los Angeles simultaneously. Be sure to tune in to tonight’s programming and catch a glimpse at the new Air Mag 2011 (aka Air McFly).

The 25 Best Sneakers Worn in High School Basketball History

It's "Back to School" time. While many of us see the beginning of September as nearing the end of the 4th quarter, others see it as a new semester, a new start, or another reason to be extra-fresh. In yet another respect, a high-school basketball player sees "Back to School" as another year of hard-fought battles on the court. Though many have been playing since they could walk or talk, this is the time where their actions have to speak louder than words – where an ordinary sophomore can become an All-American.

During those four tender years, we've seen guys like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson become the greatest and most popular players in the nation — in turn getting flooded with scholarship offers and new "friends." However, while we've seen them blossom, we've also seen them hit the court in some of the best and most nostalgic basketball sneakers ever made. Though it has oft been said that it's the man that makes the shoes, we've also got to give respect when respect is due – there are some sneakers that are just plain dope, no matter which way you slice it. So here, we've got The 25 Best Sneakers Worn in High School Basketball History. Another reason to revisit maybe even your own glory days. Take a walk down memory lane.

Hip Hop @ it's Best! Branding the Throne

At first thought, Madison Avenue and Brooklyn’s Marcy Houses couldn’t seem more disparate. One remains, despite a pilgrimage of trendy agencies to the mecca of downtown Manhattan, a bastion of corporate power and a haven for advertising masterminds while the other embodies a lot of what is wrong with New York City, from drug-pushing to the horrendous education system. The two locales do, however, have one powerful force in common: Jay-Z.

Jordan XI Concord Comparison

December 23 is right around the corner, and the Air Jordan Retro 11 “Concord” is on a lot of wish lists for the Holiday season. There have been a ton of sample photos floating around the web, and now we have a few pics of all the released versions of this ever-so-popular colorway.

The art of Origami transforms a plain piece of paper into an enduring art object. The same goes for Orisue. Formerly known as Origami Clothing, Orisue is now creating elaborate streetwear steamed from a business philosophy that promotes self-empowerment and a positive attitude towards life.

Michael Huynh, founder and Creative Director, followed his long-time dreams and at the end of year 2005 started his own clothing company at the tender age of 20. Michael found a partner and a friend in Allen Doan. He is now the president of Orisue Company and shares the same enthusiastic attitude towards giving quality and inspirational streetwear apparels to fashion addicts everywhere. Because, Orisue is for the hungry!

The first Orisue collection was officially unleashed in the summer of 2006. The collection was small – only a dozen tees and two crew sweaters. However, the freshness of the garments generated some serious buzz in the streetwear world. The smart market plan also played an important role in making the label’s first collection a major hit. The summer collection was advertised beginning January on many of the world’s most prestigious street-fashion websites. The strong responses received from the public over the internet made possible the launch of the brand in several stores.

After its successful launch, Orisue clothing brand exploded. Now, the team behind the successful streetwear line is getting bigger and bigger. The same goes for the number of clothing types they produce. Currently they cater to young men premium t-shirts, cut and sewn crew sweaters, full zip hoodies and fitted hats. Orisue label is sold in a multitude of stores worldwide. The kids at Orisue succeeded in conquering USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Denmark, Japan, Australia, Korea, Norway and Taiwan.

The Fountain Valley, California based-brand creates for those who aim high and live their life with passion, surpassing all the obstacles. Orisue is for those high achievers that are not afraid to fight for their dreams on the streets. The brand’s style is best described by comparing it with the ancient art of Origami. The only difference is that the guys at Orisue use fabric to create their art instead of paper. After they add the design, color and stitching, the plain fabric becomes a unique elaborate garment that has the mission to represent the lifestyle and individualism of those who choose to wear it.

Orisue label passes no opportunity to promote its innovative and fresh collections. That’s why you can find the brand at prestigious trade shows like Magic and B&B. Allen Doan, when asked about the importance of trade shows, stated: “Tradeshows are so important in any industry. It’s a great opportunity to get drunk and promise things you’ll probably regret later on.”

But a large part of the brand’s success is definitely the support Orisue receives from hip hop artist. Some rappers that are known to endorse the Orisue line are Nas, Rick Ross, Drake, Bun B, Soulja Boy, Alchemist and Evidence of Dilated Peoples.
